Player Bio

Lauren Stratman is one of the newest additions to the Team Selkirk roster! Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, and now residing in Austin, Texas, Lauren found her start in pickleball like many others: in a successful tennis career. She competed in Division I tennis at Columbia University and Westmont College.


Lauren was introduced to pickleball by one of her tennis students in 2018, and entered her first pickleball tournament in 2019. Since then, she has become a well-decorated player in the sport, with five silver medals and twelve bronze PPA medals. In 2023, she represented the Texas Ranchers in Major League Pickleball.


Although she has been playing with the Vanguard Power Air for some time as a free agent, Lauren’s official signing to Selkirk Sport marks the start to a multi-year endorsement agreement. She will exclusively use Selkirk products starting from 2024.
